Mark was our guide for a 30km day hike from Naro Moru Gate up to MaKinders and back down on Mt. Kenya. Wow, what an awesome way to experience the mountain for a day! Mark was the most attentive hiking guide we have ever had in Kenya. He often checked in to make sure the pace wasn't too slow or too fast, and he was really great to talk to. Additionally, he's a naturalist and was quite informative about the flora on different sections of the mountain. We will surely hire him again the next time we are back up on Mt. Kenya.

Mark Ntritu arranged an unforgettable trip for my family just before Christmas 2019. We made it to point Lenana from Sirimon, Old Moses and decended the Chogoria Valley. 3 days and 2 nights on the mountain. It was quite challenging, but we had very good weather. The guides and porters were all fantastic and we have no hesitation to recommend Mark and his team to anyone who wants to climb Mt Kenya.

Aberdares, Samburu and Ol Pejeta/Sweetwaters:
During March and April, I visited different parts of Africa including Aberdares, Samburu and Ol Pejeta/Sweetwaters in Kenya. This part of my trip was organised by Mark from MK Snow Tours and Travel with whom I’d travelled before. We drove to Aberdares National Park to see the beautiful waterfalls that are the feature of this park, but also saw Colombus and Sykes monkeys and buffalo. We camped near Chania Waterfall which meant I could walk to the falls on arrival and go again in the morning when the light was better for photos. The plateau is elevated so a visit here helps with acclimatisation if heading up Mt Kenya. It is possible to organise a walk, but this requires a ranger to go with the group. Mark can easily make such arrangements though.
I spent a day at Ol Pejeta Conservancy/Sweetwaters which straddles the equator and is home to the last two Northern White Rhinos. The game drive included a visit to Baraka, the blind black rhino. It was amazing to be so close to such a large, wild animal even if he is blind!
Samburu was in complete contrast to the green and cool of Aberdare. Dry, dusty and hot, but with very comfortable accommodation. It’s a national reserve teaming with wildlife and the morning and evening drives were fantastic. We spotted so many different animals and birds! Among my favourites were the Dik Dik, Oryx, a Leopard and Bee eaters.
Mark made all arrangements including airport pickups/drop-offs, permits, camping equipment, accommodation bookings and transport. He and William were helpful and knowledgeable about all the places I visited. It was a pleasure to travel with them again and I would recommend MK Snow Tours to anyone, especially if wanting a tailor-made trip. Thanks again Mark for everything you did to ensure an enjoyable visit.

Together with Mark I went up to Point Lenana at Mount Kenya in February. It was a great experience in this beautiful environment. Mark is a very experienced and helpful guide. He knows pretty much everyone on the mountain and could get us a cup of tea or hot chocolate everytime when needed. This trip up there is highly recommended.

Two weeks ago three friends and I went to Aberdare National Park on a day trip. We had a really nice day with Mark and William. They picked us up in the morning and we drove around the park for the whole day. William told us so much about the nature and the animals. We were so lucky to see a leopard.
MK Snow Tours brought a nice lunch and everything was taking care of. We also went on safari in Masai Mara with MK Snow Tours and we will recomend others to do the same!

3 friends and I went to Masai Mara for safari. It was an amazing trip beyond our expectations. We were very lucky and saw the big nine and a lot of other animals. Everything was taken care of and our guides, Mark and Richard, were nice and shared a lot of knowledge. MK Snow Tours comes highly recomended from us.

Awesome Experience
3 friends and I just completed a 5 day trip to Mt Kenya with MK Snow Tours. Our trip included the summit of Point Lenana (16355’). Our guide Sammy was the best possible as he provided expert leadership, help during the hikes and was extremely personable. The porters and cooks were fantastic and our food was top notch! This was a challenging trip physically but well worth it. MK Snow Tours is a professionally run organization and highly recommended if you want the adventure of a lifetime.

John and I were also part of the group from Australia who visited Tanzania and trekked up Mount Kenya with MK Snow Tours. What an amazing trip we had! Plenty of wildlife, stunning scenery and a taste of other cultures.
Our drivers/guides were very knowledgeable about the animals and drove safely at all times. We saw so much thanks to their ability to spot animals quickly, often at a great distance!
The Mount Kenya trek was well organised. We walked through some beautiful alpine scenery. Mark and his team were always helpful and friendly. The meals were very good too (I loved the donuts!).
Mark is capable, trustworthy and communicates well. We are more than happy to recommend MK Snow Tours. Thanks Mark for a wonderful journey.

Alan & I were part of a group from Australia who toured Tanzania & Mt Kenya with MK Snow Tours & had a fabulous time. In Tanzania we drove through the Ngorongoro Conservation Park & the Serengeti National Park & were amazed at all the animals we saw - the big 5, the ugly 5 & most of the small 5. Our drivers/guides were very knowledgable & nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The camps were comfortable & the food was great.
Our 5 day climb up Mt Kenya taking the scenic Chogoria route was amazing. Our guides were very conscious of everyone's safety - their mantra, 'pole pole' or 'slowly slowly', made the ascent doable for the whole group & nearly everyone reached the peak at Point Leanna.
I would be happy to recommend MKSnow Tours. Thank you Mark!!

Last weekend I went to Ol Pejeta from Friday morning to Saturday afternoon with three friends. It was an amazing trip! The driver, William, was the nicest driver and guide - he knew everything about every animal. I would definitely recommend people going with MK Snow Tours and Travel for a guaranteed good time!
Ol Pejeta was amazing - a shame that more people don't go. On Friday we saw 3 of the big five and lots of other animals. Saturday we began the day at 6.30, and within 1.5 hours we saw all of the big 5. We will definitely go again if we visit Kenya again. Francis gave us a very nice price, and the experience was beyond what we had hoped for.

What a fantastic Christmas Present to have spent 4 fabulous day with Mark and the team on Mt Kenya in December 2016.
We were 2 adults and 3 kids (aged 14, 12 & 10) and we were treated like kings! We went up via the Sirimon Route and came down via the Chogoria Route and all our hikes were breathtaking from one minute to the next. All the guides took time to stop and explain plants and landscape features along the way to both children and adults.
The patience of the whole team with our last minute changes to plans was truly wonderful and they really made sure that we were always 100% ok with everything.
It's now nearly a month later and the children are still talking about their adventure.
Asanteni Sana and we will see you again soon to Touch The Sky!

We made a 5 days hiking tour with Mark from Nara Moru to Point Lenana (Mt. Kenya) in late 2008. This tour under Mark's excellent guidance and care taking become an unforgetable memory to us. If we have a chance we will do it again! All best to Mark and his team. Warm regards from Myanmar, T&G

What an incredible experience! Two friends and I were thrilled with our experience with MK Snow Tours. Sammy and Frances were great leaders and I felt totally safe with them. Our chef did an excellent job of keeping us fed and full. The porters were so friendly and helpful. I was so grateful for their encouragement and support all the way up and down the mountain. I highly recommend this professional team!

We had a nice trekk to the summit of Point Lenana with Mark,okt-2005.
That was training for us one week before we reached Kilimanjaro,
on Stellans 50 year birthday. Very good to have been on high altitude,
before Kilimanjaro.
